Middle Aged Men’s Workout Burpee Challenge
This is a cracking routine with room for constant improvement and progression.
This was the first time we tried this challenge. Being a good 14 years older than my mate and not quite as fit I did it step by step. As you can se he flew through it in the usual style.
We’re on our 4th time now and I’ve moved on from the step by step and can almost keep up with him.
The idea is
10 x burpee plank
10 x burpee one push up
10 x burpee plank
10 x burpee 2 push ups
10 x burpee plank
10 x burpee 3 push ups
Repeat 3 times.
No doubt about it it’s hard and the harder you work the harder it is. the first couple of times I paced myself into it. Even now as I’m going faster I’m still pacing myself so I don’t go anerobic and crash and burn too early.
